TAKE AN AMAZING
JOURNEY...
TO THE LIMITs
OF THE
IMAGINATION
WHAT IS "BEYOND THE SPHERE"
Hi, thank you for taking an interest in my "Beyond The Sphere" series. The stories are written in the style of The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone both of which I have been a big fan of since I was a kid. Rod Serling's voice alone was enough of a draw and there was something for everyone with the series exploring crosss-generes of paranormal, suspense and even horror... and more. I've watched the series develop over the years since its release way back in 1959 and its revival in the mid 80s... and several times since then.
Of course, there were series before that followed in the same vein such as Tales of Tomorrow. I especially enjoyed the 1983 film adaptation directed by Steven Spielberg. One of the stories "It's A Good Life" inspired Black Mirror's episode of USS Calister. The best segment for me was A Face In The Window staring John Lithgow, based upon the 1963 episode staring William Shatner. Lithgow's terrified face was enough to send shivers down anyone's spine.
I remember having debates in school with my classmates over which series had the better episodes...The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. One thing I definitely thought was better was the theme tune of the Outer Limits (originally entitled Please Stand By). Again, I've followed this series for many decades, watching episodes from its release back in 1963. "
"...For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear..."
I think I love both equally (and the philosophical lessons of each). I've recently become a fan of Black Mirror too, although it has been a bit of a mixed bag of hits and misses for me over the seasons.
So... you've probably guessed that Beyond The Sphere is a collection of short stories written in the same style as The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone. This is a growing series and each story is about 10 thousand words, give or take a few. They can be read in any order and are available on Amazon and other stores such as Apple Books and Barnes & Noble.
So, check out the stories below. There are those still in development and the availability of those stories will be updated as soon as they have been completed.
